OPERATION GET FIT, GET RICH, GET A GF - STARTS TODAY.
Apparently if I write stuff down once a week about how I feel and what’s going on in my life I will be happier, more productive and achieve my goals. Good!
I need to start by writing down what I want and then write down the things in my head and the things I feel without really thinking too much (that’s what the blog post says).
I feel a bit stupid writing, to be honest. I can’t remember the last time I wrote and swear my hand hurts already.
I feel like a bit of a prick knob. My handwriting is shite, it looks like a kid’s.
DON’T GO ON PHONE WHILST DOING THIS
It’s a Sunday night. I’m hanging out my arse. I will do this every week for now to see if I start to move forward/feel better.
My deepest fear is someone even finding this thing, like if one of the lads was round or something. My god, I’d be absolutely slated, I don’t want that. It’s going right under my bed where nobody can find it.
Am I even doing this right …? It feels a bit pointless to just be writing about crap, I’m not sure what else to say …. Yeah yeah yeah.
I feel like an idiot writing down that I want to get fit, get rich and get a girlfriend but I do tbh
This thing online told me to be honest because this is a “safe space” (lol whatever that means).
Think I’ve done this right … how this actually gets me closer to my goals I don’t know …. ??????
It just feels like more thinking about stuff … which I spend my life doing …
Alarm set for 6.
Smash the gym before work
Get after it ££££
No more messing around now.
JACK
❖
This is the first draft first entry of my book JACK. The fictitious journal entries of a young man, Jack. Imagine a Bridget Jones’s Diary for Men. Imagine Adrian Mole is drinking, partying, taking drugs and sleeping around. Imagine the untold story of young men today… I hope you enjoy this taster. Let me know what you think and if you want more.
I wrote JACK and it’ll be published in March/April next year! It’ll be my first work of fiction and I believe it’s a book that men need. It’s a book the world needs.
I don’t believe we’re telling the real story about young men. We’re not documenting the desire to change and grow, the yearn for connection and intimacy. We only see what’s on the outside. We’re not showing what’s on the inside. What is a young man really looking for when he can’t stop watching porn, or chases empty one night stands? What’s the real story?
If readers want more now, who knows? Maybe I could begin sharing the book to paid subscribers on substack before the physical book comes out. If you want this, let me know below?
I hope you enjoyed Jack’s first entry.
